Ice Cream Recipe

June 25, 2020 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

Ice cream always reminds me of summer (although I have it everyday throughout the year as well.) Warm nights going to the local ice cream shoppe and ordering coffee oreo on a sugar cone. Memories. Or daily occurrences. Either way, I get a variation of this every time I go or eat at home. James, … Continue reading Ice Cream Recipe

Favorite White Tee

March 4, 2020 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

The perfect white tee shirt. Seems like an easy item to find. They are basic, closet staples, and displayed at any store out there at any price point. However, the options and variety can be overwhelming. I spent most of January researching tee shirts that were recommended by YOU! All were big name brands in … Continue reading Favorite White Tee

Backpack - James has used his Junior L.L. Bean backpack on flights and it's the perfect size for his body. I love that it's personalized and a classic; I had an L.L. Bean growing up, too! Lunchbox - We have yet to try the bento box but it came highly recommended! James chose the color … Continue reading Back-To-School Gear 2019

When it comes to planning parties I always map out every detail by creating lists, making diagrams and Pinning my favorite ideas and inspiration via Pinterest. For our play date it was like any other party I plan but it was full of moms and babies. CREATE A GOOGLE SPREADSHEET My friend who started our … Continue reading How To Host A Play Group

A Sunday Morning Strawberry Picking

July 2, 2019 ~ simply lauren ~ 1 Comment

On Sunday morning, we checked one of our summer list bucket list boxes. Jones Family Farm in Shelton, Connecticut is known for it’s pumpkin and berry picking and has the cutest experience for the kids. We arrived just after 9am (doors open at 8am for you earlier birds!) ready for strawberries! After grabbing our baskets … Continue reading A Sunday Morning Strawberry Picking

Summer Capsule Maternity Wardrobe

June 28, 2019 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

My summer capsule wardrobe is simple : comfortable, easy to throw on and an item that will grow with the bump! Most pieces are non-maternity and I just go up one or two sizes. Stretchy fabrics like the tee shirt dresses are perfect for each trimester. I love flowy pieces that allow me to stay … Continue reading Summer Capsule Maternity Wardrobe

Errands with Two Littles

December 17, 2018 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

"I don't know how you do it" is a statement I often hear. Running around doing errands is not easy with two. I am not going to sugarcoat it. Heck, it's not even easy with one! Don't get me wrong; if there is an opportunity to bring only one of my kids or go by … Continue reading Errands with Two Littles

Screen Time in Our Home

November 12, 2018November 12, 2018 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

Screen time is such a hot topic. It brings on the mom guilt hard! Is my child watching too much? Are these shows educational enough to stimulate the brain? The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children under the age of 2 watch no TV, and children over age 2 should watch no more than 2 hours per day.  Honestly, both boys were exposed to … Continue reading Screen Time in Our Home

How We Knew We Were Ready to Move to the Suburbs

November 7, 2018November 12, 2018 ~ simply lauren ~ Leave a comment

It wasn't just one thing. And it wasn't a specific moment that the light bulb went off. We just knew it was a long time coming. We lived in our Upper East Side one-bedroom apartment for four years when we got pregnant with James. I would have loved to stay there forever; I enjoyed the … Continue reading How We Knew We Were Ready to Move to the Suburbs

Daily Snaps

After approx. 37468 days of rain and/or snow, it’s finally a sunny day here in CT 💐 Last minute, I added these tulips to my curbside pickup @wholefoods order and I’m so happy I did. I should probably cut them down a bit more but they sure do brighten my mood every time I walk by! What’s one thing that brightens your day? ☀️
Snow day cuddles 🐊
Afternoon pick me up ☕️ Anyone else need an afternoon boost? Typically I don’t drink one just because it will keep me up all night but lately I need it and I can still easily fall asleep 😴 It’s not a lot but just enough to get me through!
Most restaurants and shops are closed in Ogunquit for the season so we decided to take a little road trip up the coast of Maine. Destination : Portland! It’s only 45 minutes away but we took the scenic route and saw many hidden gems along the way 💎 It was our first time to Portland and we already have plans on returning soon. Highly recommend the brown butter lobster roll from @eventideoysterco which was a must try from our friends! http://liketk.it/38rDi #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKbump
When in Maine ... 🥾 #beanboots
Happy Valentine’s Day from Maine 💙
