Favorite White Tee

The perfect white tee shirt. Seems like an easy item to find. They are basic, closet staples, and displayed at any store out there at any price point. However, the options and variety can be overwhelming. I spent most of January researching tee shirts that were recommended by YOU! All were big name brands in the popular crew neck style. These reviews are based on trying the tee shirts on and not wear, tear and washing. The photos were taken mostly in dressing rooms where the lighting is not the most flattering but it does the trick for the try on!

THE WINNER….

UNIQLO U Neck Tee

WHY I LOVE IT

-Nice quality. Thick material and 100% smooth cotton : Note to self when drying.

-Inexpensive. Only $14.90! With shipping and taxes, the total ended up being closer to $22.

-Perfect crew neck and sleeves.

-Fits true to size. I went with a size small. Again, I don’t know how it will wash.

-CONS – it may or may not be short on me. I am 5’8″ but I am planning on wearing this only tucked in or under sweaters so it doesn’t bother me.

-stores are few and far between so shipping is usually a must. Stock up while you can!

THE OTHER CONTENDERS…

J.Crew Perfect Tee

WHY IT DIDN’T WIN

-The sleeves. They are longer, midway to elbow, which was awkward to me.

-The material. I didn’t like it. It’s cotton, stretchy and forms to your body. I don’t really know how to describe it.

Madewell Whisper Tee

WHY IT DIDN’T WIN

-The crew neck seemed big.

-The material was nice and smooth which I like but seemed looser.

SIDE NOTE : Rumor has it this tee does not wash well.

Gap Crewneck

WHY IT DIDN’T WIN

-Very lightweight and sheer.
-Short.

-PROS – it is super soft and I really liked the neckline!

SIDE NOTE : This white tee was the most recommended.
