Zara Gingham Dress (old, similar here), Jack Rogers Sandals, French Basket Bag (from France, similar here), J.Crew Straw Hat

A few weeks ago, 18 girls (including myself) drove to Nyack, New York for my friend Annie’s bachelorette party. A relaxing activity filled weekend was just what we all needed – on the schedule included yoga on the tennis courts, massages by the pool, a perfume smelling session, and makeup tutorials at sunset! When I heard we were traveling to Stone Barns for part of our trip, I was giddy with excitement! I’ve heard amazing things and I was curious to see the farm for myself.

Stone Barns is only about an hour outside of New York City and makes for the perfect day trip.  After parking our cars, we walked straight to the cafe for a quick bite to eat.  The variety of food was freshly picked from the farm and baked on premises and everything looked so delicious; I wanted to try it all! I went with the goat cheese  and snow pea tartine with a chocolate chip cookie and a refreshing iced tea to quench my thirst. I definitely want to return soon to experience the seven course dinner menu!

Following lunch, we walked around the property, passing the vast farmland full of vegetables and plants, the gorgeous rustic barns, and farm animals.  You can schedule a tour to guide you through the farms and learn all about the land. The animals were located in the back of the farm. We saw very large pics, ducks, and sheep.  The ducks were placed in areas by age, ranging from two weeks old to two months. James would love them! Another great spot to check out is the farm themed gift shop. There are mini tractors and wooden vegetables, farm-to-table cookbooks, and adorable cooking supplies and accessories. I wanted everything!

I wore this gingham Zara dress I purchased a few years ago. The open back has a sweet ruffle detail which is my favorite part of the dress.  Gingham is a summer staple and never goes out of style.  This dress is no longer available but I love this off shoulder dress, this belted dress, and this square neck dress too! My Jack Rogers sandals, basket bag and straw hat were the perfect complements in the summer sun. Straw accessories are lightweight and timeless and can pair well with any outfit.
