I grew up in a small town on the water in Massachusetts. It’s a historic town with cute restaurants, shoppes, and plenty of charm. I always try to visit downtown when I’m home, whether it’s for ice cream or a trip to a local gift shop.  This past weekend, my mom and I browsed the shelves of Talbots.

This store was the first home of Talbots.  Sitting in a quaint home in the center of town, Talbots always is decorated beautifully for the holiday season. I love all things red and green this time of year, especially red bows, wreaths and garland. The weather was cold and windy so these pictures happened quickly but I had to get a few shots in front of the infamous red door before heading home. Next time, I am going to have to prepare beforehand so I can wear all Talbots everything! I can’t wait to visit again when snow is covering the ground.

With many holiday parties over the next few days and weekends, an easy outfit is a white bell sleeved shirt and stretchy ponte pants. I might opt for a boot for colder nights or a heel for a fancier party but these flats are always a safe bet. My favorite holiday accessory is red lipstick. It will always jazz up a simple outfit for any time of day.
