It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The holidays in New York City are magical. There is no place like it; so many beautiful decorations to see and lots of winter activities to be had. One of our favorite activities is choosing a Christmas tree. In New York City, you can find Christmas tree shops on several street corners, where local farms bring their fresh pines. We picked a 6 foot tree along with a wreath and garland from a local store down the block. Our home smells amazing. We spent the night filling our home with decorations and hanging ornaments.
Fifth Avenue in Park Slope is so cute this time of year. It’s our first winter in the neighborhood and it’s been so exciting to explore new spots. Holiday window displays, decorated townhouses, and lights hanging above the street fill the area with holiday cheer.
I bought my Bean Boots a few years ago and I wear them ALL the time during the fall and winter months. My pair have a lining of plaid flannel inside which make the boots extra cozy. Since they are waterproof, you can walk through rain puddles or snow flurries without having to worry your feet will get wet. Throughout the winter, I will throw on a pair of cozy socks like these or these to be extra warm.
