Before our trip, we were told Paris is desolate in August, with shoppes closing and everyone traveling to the South for vacation. I was pretty bummed since it was going to be my first time in France and I wanted to experience the hustle and bustle of the city. However, we were pleasantly surprised! While some neighborhoods were quieter, there was nothing short of the streets buzzing with locals and tourists.

The weather in Paris was beautiful! I chose to wear this Gap Dress (on sale!) and a pair of J.Crew studded sandals since I knew we were going to be walking all around the city again. You could also throw on a pair of sneakers which would be cute and practical. I love these and these.

On our long walk from Le Marais to the Eiffel Tower, we stopped to have lunch on Rue Cler, the quintessential Parisian street in the 7th arrondisement. We sipped on rose and shared a delicious salad full of lettuce, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, pesto, and sliced ham served in an amazing crepe bowl. As we continued on our journey we grabbed a quick espresso and refreshing gelato at Il Gelato del Marchese which had adorable all white and grey decor – two colors I am always drawn to.

See you soon! xo, Lauren
