After recently getting married, we decided to spend our honeymoon in France, traveling around the country to see all that it had to offer. I was very excited since I had never been to Europe before! We spent our first few days in Paris, the city of lights. Paris is so charming and magical, I couldn’t help but fall in love.

I wore this beautiful silk dress from Club Monaco (old, similar version here and here) . It is lightweight and easy to walk around in all day. It is best to explore Paris by walking, as you get to discover hidden gems you wouldn’t see taking a taxi or the metro. We were lucky enough to stop at L’as du Fallafel, where there is always a long line with a long wait. It’s a famous spot in the Jewish quarter with amazing pitas filled with hot fallafel, cucumbers, tomatoes, red cabbage, and topped with tahini dressing. It was very messy but worth it!

While visiting Paris, we stayed in a boutique hotel in le Marais, a neighborhood between the 3rd and 4th arrondisments. It is a great area full of cute cafes and cool shoppes. We spent a majority of our morning in the Place des Vosges, relaxing by the fountains and people watching. We made our own picnic with delicious fruit and fresh breads purchased at local shops.

I love the adorable paper containers the berries came in. I found similar ceramic baskets to purchase at Anthropologie. These reusable crates would be perfect for serving special treats or for holding jewelry.

Until next time! xo, Lauren
