PinkBlush Dress, Scalloped Flats

My days with James as an only child are coming to an end as my due date is this week! I’ve been dreaming of having a maternity shoot, just me and him, for months.  With the sunny and warm weather in February, I knew we had to take advantage. Taking photos of a 16 month old is no easy feat but my friend, Ariel, took to the challenge of a mommy / son photo shoot and I’m so happy to have this moment in time documented forever.

When it came to my outfit of choice, this delicate scalloped dress was the first in my mind.  While my skin is pale and not photo ready, this dress is the perfect light blue color.  It reminds me of a warm spring day, just what we were surprised with a few weeks ago!

With the beautiful crepe material, I felt so comfortable and elegant all day.  I can picture a mama-to-be wearing this dress to her baby shower or a special occasion since it’s such a classic silhouette and color. And how cute are the details? Scalloped edges on both sleeves and hemline are simple and chic and perfect for spring and summer.

James is just learning how to walk so these photos were extra special.  He is definitely a man on a mission and it’s so cute to see how proud he is of himself.
