James is officially one years old! I can’t believe it. We decided to do an New York City theme and I am so happy the way it turned out. The party was planned to be held in the local park so I knew I didn’t have to overdo the decorations. Besides the classic blue and white balloons, I added a gold ‘1’ to the bunch. We created a NY Times cover featuring statistics of James, including favorite things, and first words, and a bright yellow taxi.  I printed monthly photos that were displayed on one of the benches and NYC books available to read!

Lunch consisted of pizza (of course!) The dessert table was my favorite filled with mini NY cheesecakes (made by my mom), black and white cookies, donuts, cupcakes, and apple sauce pouches for the kids (#bigapple). The tiered smash cake which was made by our friend was a big hit!
