We haven’t spent a weekend at home in awhile. While we love traveling to visit our friends and family, we could always use a weekend to rest and relax at home. As I was running around the other day, I noticed a poster for an upcoming 5k in Prospect Park to support the neighborhood’s food pantry.  Since we were going to be home, we decided to participate.

Runners, walkers, and bikers gathered in Prospect Park in Brooklyn to exercise.  Jimmy and I would normally run together but since having the baby, I decided to walk the route with James and meet Jimmy at the finish line. We love getting outdoors, especially when it’s perfect fall weather, and this was a great day walking through the park. Post race, we ventured over to the farmer’s market where we purchased goods to make lunch!
