I am so happy we chose to visit Charleston for our baby moon slash first anniversary. We were able to relax on the beach during the day and explore the city at night; best of both worlds!
We heard we had to try Husk, a famous southern restaurant located in the heart of Charleston in an old Victorian home. We ended up make reservations months in advance, since it’s known for their long waits. It definitely lived up to the hype! The fried chicken skins appetizer is a must try. Since I was about 30 weeks pregnant at this point, I ordered a local mocktail, made with citrus and bubbles. It sounded delicious and I was very excited to try it. When the waiter arrived with the glass, it ended up being a locally sold soda in a bottle, not a cute glass with local ingredients. Not what I expected but such a funny memory!
I loved this Zara dress I bought right before our trip. It’s not maternity, I sized up so I could wear it throughout my pregnancy.
We headed into the city early to walk around and found our way down Rainbow Row. The homes are so beautiful and colorful, it made me want to move immediately! Charleston, you’re so charming!
