Holiday shopping has officially begun! Gift giving is one of my favorite things to do. Trying to think of something unique and thoughtful is always a priority for me but can be tricky. That’s where I come in! Use simplylauren as a destination for gift ideas this season!
Since holiday parties are beginning to pop up, I’ve compiled a list of what you can bring your host. Along with a bottle of wine or champagne it’s always appreciated when you bring a little something extra too!
Mr. Bodington Holiday Plate – add a special touch by baking your favorite holiday cookies and wrapping in clear wrap attached with a bow! You can even go the extra step and include a recipe card!
Tiled Mug – I see these monogrammed mugs everywhere but they’re the best. There is a variety of different style letters and usually a festive mug released during the holidays. Pair with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows.
Holiday Cookie Cutters – Is your host a baker? These gingerbread cookie cutters would be the perfect gift!
Monogrammed Cheese Board – Personalization is always a favorite of mine. It shows you went the extra step to say I thought of you when I purchased this!
Diptique Candle – A classic gift for a reason. Candles are always a safe bet and this brand is a favorite. Stick with a subtle scent like vanilla or fig since everyone has an aromatic preference.
Nest Candle – Another candle brand that I love, especially during the holiday season because the candle holder, scents and boxes are all festive! I love red this time of year!
Holiday Cookie Cookbook – I love receiving cookbooks as gifts especially if they are bookmarked with the gifter’s favorite recipes!
Recipe Box – Personalize the gift by writing your favorite recipe cards. It’s always so special to look back at those recipes in the handwriting of your family and friends.
Topiary Plant – I can’t keep plants alive so a faux plant is right up my alley! No work for the giftee but still looks great. We have two topiaries on our mantle and receive endless compliments. If you know your host has a green thumb, live plants are always an option!
Cozy Cableknit Throw – I received this blanket from my sister-in-law for Christmas a few years ago and it’s still in our living room. It’s so cozy and warm and looks cute as decor year round too!
Bottle Opener – Can’t have too many bottle openers. I feel like I am always misplacing them. This whale one is so cute! Pair with a six pack of local beer.
Plaid Oven Mitt – Tis the season for plaid! And again, can’t have too many oven mitts! Mine are either yucky from food or worn down for being used too often so I get overly excited when I receive a new one.
Pie Dish – Serve your favorite pie in this adorable dish for your hostess and then they get to keep the dish!
