Zara Sweater (old, similar here), H&M White Denim, H&M Flats (old, love these)
The beautiful weather has finally arrived and hopefully here to stay. On any weekend we’re not traveling, I always try to find an activity for our family to do – whether it be a walk to a new coffee shop or viewing the neighborhood blooming flowers. This given Saturday, I steered us to Little Zelda in Crown Heights, a cute little coffee shop where we’ve never been. There was no outdoor seating available so we grabbed our hibiscus iced teas to go.
On our way, we strolled right by a few cherry blossom trees in front of the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. I am hoping to bring James back soon so we can spend some time soaking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful scenery. He loves being outdoors!
Our final stop was Prospect Park. We found a small little nook accompanied with a thin tree and a little shade. We tied Nema up, gave her a stick to play with and she was happy as a clam. Sticks and chew toys can occupy Nema for hours on end! We usually bring a picnic blanket to sit on when we go to the park but with the impromptu visit, we did not bring it along. Jimmy put down his jacket and James laid down, kicking his feet and smiling with excitement. He loves observing all the nature around him.
I am loving white and pink this season. I tend to wear white denim year round but the combination of these jeans and chunky knit sweater are my favorite. The sweater is heavy enough to wear without a jacket and light enough to wear for the spring weather. I’ve also worn the sweater with ripped jeans and sneakers and I can picture pairing it with shorts during the summer on cooler nights.
